MEET MILLY

MY BACKGROUND

I received a bachelor’s in economics from the University of California at Irvine and an M.B.A. from Northern Illinois University. My expertise is complimented by a SPHR designation as well as certifications in Six Sigma Methodology and as a Master Facilitator (Achieve Global/Zenger-Miller).

I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Denver-based The Women’s Bean project, a non-profit dedicated to serving chronically unemployed women through teaching both life and work skills.  I have served as an Executive Mentor at the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and as Judge of the International Career Development Conference for DECA. Additionally, I have shared my vast expertise and background as an Adjunct Professor in Organizational Development at Pepperdine University as well as a Guest Lecturer at Pepperdine, Graziadio School of Business and Management.

I have a passion for helping people achieve their dream jobs, reach personal goals and be the best they can be.  I hold a special spot in my heart for women-owned and BIPOC businesses.  I also believe that YOU are your own boss and that YOU should drive your career results -- not a company.

But I’m not just about the work. I’m about the balance.

I relocated to Colorado with my husband and two sporting dogs from California in 2018 to enjoy archery, hiking, fishing and all of the great Outdoors we are blessed with here!

With over 20 years in Corporate America leading not only Human Resources teams but also Sales and Operations teams, I’ve learned that most challenges lie in one of two root causes: People or Processes.

Group Meeting

I’ve dedicated my career to understanding Business, not just HR.  I’ve held significant Leadership positions in Fortune 100 and medium-sized firms, as well as created HR functions from scratch for Start-Ups.  Because I’ve led business segments, held P&L responsibility, and managed teams across multiple functions outside of HR, I’m uniquely positioned to help companies like yours with cost containment, return on investment, risk mitigation and productivity optimization.  How?  With a laser focus on leveraging People and Process.  That said, it’s imperative to begin with the right People and establish the right Processes – and GROW from there.
